Initially funded through Susan G. Komen community grants in 2018, TSU BCSPC successfully through its first Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) grant in 2021. With the $1M CPRIT funding, TSU BCSPC successfully delivered no-cost mammograms to over 1,400 women, reached over 4,500 women through education, and 4500 received navigation services.
In June 2025, TSU BCSPC received its second $2M award through CPRIT (see funding announcement here: https://cprit.texas.gov/grants-funded/grants/pp250075) to offer the following services:
